The history of research of Con-A(from Canavalia gladiata & ensiformis),
the main part of NCI-1, has a near 100 year period since Dr. Sumner,
the Nobel prize winner in 1946, started an important milestone.
A lot of papers were published, including in the Journal of Science,
Cancer and Nature. The “Anti-tumor” patent was issued by the USPTO to the presented company.
